BAT grows more competitive and green thanks to its new powder coating plant.
BAT inaugurates a new powder coating plant in its factory based in Noventa di Piave (Venice, Italy) – internalising the treatment stages with the aim of reducing processing times and being increasingly competitive to meet all customers’ requests.
Equipped with the most modern methods of process control – such as a continuous monitoring system that records and revises the work parameters every two minutes – the new coating plant ensures the enhancement of the products’ qualitative features and limits the risk of environmental pollution.
This choice derives from the wish of being always in line with the latest technologies, of granting the workers’ safety and ensuring a low environmental impact.
Thanks to nanotechnologies, the obtained coating is an excellent base for the application of varnishes, ensuring optimal adhesion and resistance to corrosion.
The plant, in which aluminium or galvanized-iron products up to 7 metres of length will be treated, is equipped with seven treatment vats, one double-compartment drying oven, one curing oven and one sewage plant to treat wastewater.
The real focus, though, is to be placed on the two compartments, each one with four posts for manual adjustments. These compartments ensure a better productive continuity, thanks to the drastic reduction of plant stoppages for colour changes.
The Made-in-Italy quality remains absolutely fundamental for BAT, proving once again to be a major player of this field thanks to its constant commitment to innovation.
The new coating plant is a step forward also in the integration of the latest production methods that reduce the environmental impact, giving more and more importance to the industry 4.0 which is respectful of people and territory.
